      Foreword

      Dear Reader,

are you one of those who wonder: why do we actually need the silence? Could we not well do without it? Isn’t silence something terribly boring? It is silent, so nothing happens. It is like a void, almost like a "little death".

Do you also believe that silence is uncomfortable and that it is therefore better to avoid it if possible? - It has no benefit and it is also a waste of time, where you can do more important things.

But throughout life, each human comes once to a point where he feels his limitations: it is that the problems grow him over the head, that he has become sick from stress, or that he sees no purpose in his life.

In such situations, you suddenly develope the need for silence, for a break for rest, relaxation. One hopes that the silence will give reorientation and new power.

So it probably still makes sense?

      Why God does not cry

In order to make Himself felt among the people, God would have to drown all the noise that exists on earth. - That is probably too strenuous for Him.

You can indeed meet God in everyday situations, but you can really find Him only in the silence. He is already everywhere in creation. Unfortunately, many people do not realize this and think that He considers hiding somewhere.

If you understand and learn what is silence, you will find Him there.

      What is silence?

Silence is not just the absence of sound. Silence has a spiritual aspect. If you tap into this, you can gain a lot.

As long as you are not installing quiet moments in your life, you will not come closer to God. Sensible used silence has nothing to do with lounging or killing time.

In the silence you can recharge mind and soul, draw strength again.

      Silence in everyday life

Silence is a necessary part of life. Without silence the person becomes ill and loses the reference to God.

When you realize that you are not doing well and you lose God more and more out of sight, you should rethink your daily routine and your habits.

Consider where you can insert periods of silence. This might mean that you need to limit your activities and concentrate on the essentials.

      Ask yourself:

Must the radio constantly running in the background?

Must I watch TV daily 3 hours?

      The types of silence

Many people put themselves in the nature, enjoying the silence and contemplate the landscape. That is the "passive silence".

But there is also an "active silence": if you understand the silence as an area of ??spiritual development, concentration and contemplation.

Just sit there can be nice and relaxing. But the "added value" that can be obtained from the silence, you only get when you become active.
