‘Don’t try to be smart!’
‘I can’t help it—I am smart!’
‘Not smart enough,’ Matt said grimly. ‘If you think that seducing me is about to win you a proposal of marriage.’
‘Win you?’ Daisy yelled in disbelief. ‘You see yourself as some sort of prize, do you? Well, so do I—the booby prize!’
He glared right back at her and there was a silence while the only sound which could be heard was their angry breathing. And then he dropped his bombshell. ‘That’s it!’ he said decisively. ‘I’m going back to the States, Daisy!’
FROM HERE TO PATERNITY—romances that feature fantastic men who eventually make fabulous fathers. Some seek paternity, some have it thrust upon them—all will make it—whether they like it or not.
Look out next month for Gold Ring of Betrayal by Michelle Reid—Nicolas Santino is separated from his wife because he never believed that the child his wife, Sara, gave birth to was his own. Until, that is, the child, Lia, is kidnapped and he is forced to return to his wife’s side because he is the only one who can secure her release. For if Sara had truly cheated on Nicolas before Lia’s birth, how come she’s still wearing his wedding ring three years later?
One hundred. Doesn’t matter how many times I say it, I still can’t believe that’s how many books I’ve written. It’s a fabulous feeling but more fabulous still is the news that Mills & Boon are issuing every single one of my backlist as digital titles. Wow. I can’t wait to share all my stories with you - which are as vivid to me now as when I wrote them.
There’s BOUGHT FOR HER HUSBAND, with its outrageously macho Greek hero and A SCANDAL, A SECRET AND A BABY featuring a very sexy Tuscan. THE SHEIKH’S HEIR proved so popular with readers that it spent two weeks on the USA Today charts and…well, I could go on, but I’ll leave you to discover them for yourselves.
I remember the first line of my very first book: “So you’ve come to Australia looking for a husband?” Actually, the heroine had gone to Australia escape men, but guess what? She found a husband all the same! The man who inspired that book rang me up recently and when I told him I was beginning my 100th story and couldn’t decide what to write, he said, “Why don’t you go back to where it all started?”
So I did. And that’s how A ROYAL VOW OF CONVENIENCE was born. It opens in beautiful Queensland and moves to England and New York. It’s about a runaway princess and the enigmatic billionaire who is infuriated by her, yet who winds up rescuing her. But then, she goes and rescues him… Wouldn’t you know it?
I’ll end by saying how very grateful I am to have a career I love, and to thank each and every one of you who has supported me along the way. You really are very dear readers.
Love,

‘WELL, that’s that!’ Mrs Hamilton put the phone back on the hook and smiled at Daisy. ‘Matt’s coming home for Christmas!’
Daisy had thought that the call might have been for her. Her mother was away, waiting for Daisy’s sister to have her first baby. Never in her wildest dreams would she have thought that Matt was coming home.
But wasn’t that what she’d wanted, been secretly hoping for—ever since Patti had died? That Matt would come home and make everything right in Daisy’s world?
Matt.
Her heart pounded with excitement. ‘He is?’ she queried breathlessly, suppressing a great whoop of joy. ‘Oh, but that’s wonderful!’
Mrs Hamilton smiled. ‘Isn’t it?’
‘How long for?’
‘He didn’t say exactly. But apparently he’s going to be working in London for a few months before going back to the States. He wants to oversee a few property deals here.’
London? A ripple of excitement whispered its way down Daisy’s spine. If Matt was working in London, then he would only be a couple of hours away by car—giving her plenty of opportunities to see lots of him, surely?
‘He’s bringing Sophie with him, of course,’ continued Mrs Hamilton. ‘So we’ll need to get hold of a cot from somewhere.’
‘And
