      Originally from Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Nafira has also grown up in West Palm Beach, Fl. Moving to Gainesville, FL to attend college. Nafira Marshay Harris, well known by friends and family as Fira, and well known professionally as Nafira Marshay. Is a Community Activist, Speaker, Visionary, and Aspiring Entrepreneur who is a student pursuing an education in Counseling Psychology.

      From an early age Fira had a passion to write and connect with people through meaningful content before realizing other passions that has contributed to her recent attributes to her community as a mentor, volunteer, and influencer.

      Nafira currently has started several projects that are based around the action of motivating people to make better decisions to live a better life.

      Depression - (major depressive disorder) Is a serious medical disorder that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think, and how you act. Depression causes feelings of sadness and/or a loss of interest in activities. It can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems and can decrease a person’s ability to function normally.

      Anxiety - A feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease, typically about an imminent event or something with an uncertain outcome. Anxiety is your body’s natural response to stress. It’s a feeling of fear or apprehension about what’s to come. But if your feelings of anxiety are extreme, and are interfering with your life, you may have an anxiety disorder.

      Low Self-Esteem - Low self-esteem refers to how you feel about yourself overall. Low self-esteem characterized by a lack of confidence and feeling badly about oneself.

      Self-Acceptance - The act or state of accepting oneself: the act or state of understanding and recognizing one's own abilities and limitations. An acceptance of yourself as you are.

      Self-Love - Love of self, To value yourself and accept your self-worth.

      Suicidal - The thought process of taking one's own life.

      Self-Harm - Also called self-injury, this refers to an individual hurting him or herself on purpose such as by cutting with a sharp object.

      

      Bipolar Disorder - Formerly known as manic depression, this mental health disorder causes wide swings in energy, mood and activity levels.

      Mood Disorders – More than an occasional bad mood, these disorders can affect a person’s everyday emotional state. They include depression and bipolar disorder.

I understand how uncomfortable it may be to seek therapy or counseling, especially if you are unsure with what you may be feeling, or if you're unsure if seeking a professional may help but it is super important that you take care of your mental health.
