For starters, try doing more things that he enjoys, things that keep him occupied. You may think that going to the opera sounds like a romantic date night, but the fact of the matter is that some people just have a very hard time concentrating for that long. If you change the things that you do, you will have more fun together and you will enjoy going out on dates.
