Life is realized in various biological organisms and their aggregates (populations, species, etc.). Each organism is an open self-organizing system characterized by the presence of metabolism, the ability to reproduce, grow, actively regulate its composition and functions, to various forms of movement, irritability, adaptability to the environment. The foundations of the theory of the origin of life on Earth were laid in the 20s of the last century by the works of Alexander Ivanovich Oparin (1894-1980).
