The indicator on the left is internal or person, and the indicator on the right is external or system. The vertical line is labeled locus of control, and consists of two indicators. The indicator at the top is internal, and the indicator at the bottom is external. The indicators in each quadrant are as follows.
Quadrant 1: IC-IR. Locus of responsibility is internal and locus of control is internal.
Quadrant 2: EC-IR. Locus of responsibility is internal and locus of control is external.
Quadrant 3: EC-IR. Locus of responsibility is external and locus of control is external.
