Psalm 106

      Ps 106,1 Halleluja. Danket JAHWEH; denn er ist freundlich, und seine Güte währet ewiglich.

      KJV + EL = O give thanks to YAHWEH; for he is good: for his mercy endures forever.

      Ps 106,2 Wer kann die großen Taten JAHWEH’s ausreden und alle seine löblichen Werke preisen?

      KJV + EL = Who can utter the mighty acts of YAHWEH? Who can show forth all his praise?

      Ps 106,3 Wohl denen, die das Gebot halten und tun immerdar recht!

      KJV + EL + LUTHER = Blessed are they that hold the commandment/ keep justice, and he that does righteousness at all times!

      Ps 106,4 JAHWEH, gedenke mein nach der Gnade, die du dem Volk verheißen hast; beweise uns deine Hilfe,

      KJV + EL = Remember me, O YAHWEH, with the favor that you bear to your people: Oh visit me with your salvation;

      Ps 106,5 daß wir sehen mögen die Wohlfahrt deiner Auserwählten und uns freuen, daß es deinem Volk wohl geht, und uns rühmen mit deinem Erbteil.

      KJV + EL = That I may see the good of your chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of your nation, that I may glory with your inheritance.

      Ps 106,6 Wir haben gesündigt samt unseren Vätern; wir haben mißgehandelt/ unrecht getan und sind gesetzlos (= ELBERFELDER) gewesen.

      KJV + EL = We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly/ lawlessness.

      Ps 106,7 Unsere Väter in Ägypten wollten deine Wunder nicht verstehen; sie gedachten nicht an deine große Güte und waren ungehorsam am Meer, am Schilfmeer.

      KJV + EL = Our fathers understood not your wonders in Egypt; they remembered not the multitude of your mercies; but were rebellious against him at the sea, even at the Red Sea.

      2. Mose 14,11.12

      Ps 106,8 Er half ihnen/ rettete sie aber um seines Namens willen, daß er seine Macht bewiese.

      KJV + EL = Nevertheless he saved them for his name‘s sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known.

      Ps 106,9 Und er schalt das Schilfmeer: da wurde es trocken, und führte sie durch die Tiefen wie in einer Wüste

      KJV + EL = He rebuked the Red Sea also, and it was dried up: So he led them through the depths, as through the wilderness.

      Ps 106,10 und half ihnen von der Hand des, der sie haßte, und erlöste sie von der Hand des Feindes;

      KJV + EL = And he saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

      Ps 106,11 und die Wasser ersäuften ihre Widersacher/ Bedränger, daß nicht einer übrig blieb.

      KJV + EL = And the waters covered their enemies: there was not one of them left.

      Ps 106,12 Da glaubten sie an seine Worte und sangen sein Lob.

      KJV + EL = Then believed they his words; they sang his praise.

      2. Mose 15

      Ps 106,13 Aber sie vergaßen bald seiner Werke; sie warteten nicht auf seinen Rat.

      KJV + EL = They soon forgot his works; they waited not for his counsel:

      Ps 106,14 Und sie wurden lüstern in der Wüste und versuchten Gott [El] in der Einöde.

      KJV + EL = But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted El in the desert.

      4. Mose 11,4-6

      Ps 106,15 Er aber gab ihnen ihre Bitte und sandte ihnen genug, bis ihnen davor ekelte.

      KJV + EL = And he gave them their request; but sent leanness into their soul.

      Ps 106,16 Und sie empörten sich wider Mose im Lager, wider Aaron, den Heiligen JAHWEH’s.

      KJV + EL = They envied Moses also in the camp, and Aaron the saint of YAHWEH.

      4. Mose 16

      Ps 106,17 Die Erde tat sich auf und verschlang Dathan und deckte zu die Rotte Abirams,

      KJV + EL = The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of Abiram.

      Ps 106,18 und Feuer wurde unter ihrer Rotte angezündet, die Flamme verbrannte die Gesetzlosen (= ELBERFELDER).

      KJV + EL = And a fire was kindled in their company; the flame burned up the wicked/ the lawless.

      Ps 106,19 Sie machten ein Kalb am Horeb und beteten an das gegossene Bild

      KJV + EL = They made a calf in Horeb, and worshiped the molten image.

      2. Mose 32

      Ps 106,20 und verwandelten ihre Ehre/ Herrlichkeit in ein Gleichnis eines Ochsen, der Gras frißt.

      KJV + EL = Thus they changed their glory for the likeness of an ox that eats grass.

      Röm 1,23

      Ps 106,21 Sie vergaßen Gottes, [El] ihres Heilands/ Retters, der so große Dinge in Ägypten getan hatte,
